Making a Difference Beyond the Field
Across all Spartanics teams, our students don't just build robots — they build community. Through global partnerships, mentoring, outreach, and service initiatives, our impact spans continents.
From Scratch coding workshops for elementary students, to publishing the “Beyond the Bot” FTC Handbook across 6 continents, to food drives and toy drives for the community — Spartanics teams lead with impact.
Our 5 Teams
4 FTC teams and 1 FLL team competing across Katy ISD.

Aperture Robotics
Aperture Robotics is a student-led FTC team plunging into innovation—building robots, tackling challenges, and sharing STEM with the community. They published the "Beyond the Bot" FTC Handbook reaching 33 countries across 6 continents, mentored international teams, and collaborated with 100+ FTC teams worldwide.

SparKings
SparKings is a 2nd-year, 6-member FTC team that has made an extraordinary impact both on and off the field. They designed an innovative single-motor subsystem, 3D-printed their own hooded flywheel, and implemented PIDF control with Road Runner autonomous paths. Off the field, they held 30+ Scratch coding sessions for elementary students and started the FLL outreach team RoboSquad.

Spartaneers
Spartaneers is a rookie team that has quickly proven themselves as a formidable competitor. In their very first season, they earned the prestigious Design Award and showed strong all-around performance with innovative approaches to game strategy and community outreach.

SpartanTech
SpartanTech is a rookie team that demonstrated outstanding innovation in their first season. They earned the Innovate Award, learned Java programming and Onshape CAD from scratch, and contributed to community outreach through technology workshops teaching programming and 3D design.

RoboSquad
RoboSquad is our FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team for elementary and middle school students. These young innovators are learning the fundamentals of robotics, programming, and teamwork while having a blast building with LEGO! In their debut season, they earned an impressive 3rd Place Robot Design Award.

A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Built Around Robotics
Spartanics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by parents to create a supportive community for Katy ISD students involved in robotics. From our FLL elementary & middle school program to our competitive FTC middle & high school teams, we provide a pathway for students at every level.
As a registered nonprofit, all donations to Spartanics are tax-deductible. We are dedicated to developing a network of coaches and mentors among parents to guide students through robot design, construction, and competition challenges.
